Skydive in Varadero Skydiving Club, friendly Blue Skies all year round


Brazil & Cuba emerge as winners during the XI Latin American Skydiving regional Competition held in Varadero Cuba, on past July 2014.

Cuba and Brazil gathered the largest number of laurels on the modality precision landing during the XI Skydiving  Friendship Cup in Varadero, which concluded this July in the famous Cuban Beach Peninsula. Brazilians, Cubans and Argentines occupied, in that order, the top three positions as teams, while local women's singles swept the podium with Marisol Maldonado, Dalia Hernández Bejerano and Elizabeth Hernandez  .

In the masculine competition,  Diego Gabriel Da Silva ( Brazil )  was on top, representing the South American giant country, escorted by his teammate Rodrigo Goncalves (second) and third Fernando Conil (Argentina).

The Friendship Cup was won in the modality of “teams” by Brazil, followed by Cuba.

As the best exponents of the individual competition,  in the boys' division, were hosts Yosbel Sanchez (first) and Oscar Arteaga Collado (third) and again Goncalves in second place.

Among the ladies, Maldonado and Bejerano reoccupied the top two positions, while the Cuban Ana Isa Garcia also took the third step.

The jury awarded the Fair Play award to Marcelo Ricci (Brazil).

"Latin American brotherhood flourished in both competitions," said to the press the organizing committee president, Omar Gomez.

More than 50 athletes including  from Cuba, Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Peru, gathered at the International Parachuting Center in Varadero,  140 kilometers east of Havana,    host of this international Sports event.  The closing ceremony was held with the presence of Brazilian Jorge Dervish, head of the Latin American Commission Skydiving (Colpar).

The event began on July 15 with the meeting of chief judges and their assistants, the technical meeting and recognition jumps, later open competition, which included eight knockout rounds.
